Celebrating events for the community’s enjoyment while strengthening relationships.
The Kaua’i Philippine Cultural Center started in the essence to promote the cultural diversity within the the island of Kaua’i starting with Filipino heritage.
The Kauai Philippine Cultural Center is a 501(c) non-profit organization with the involvement surrounds community. Our organization exist to provide, promote and enhance cultural, economic, educational training and social programs as well as cross cultural exchanges in our multi-ethnic environment.
In 2010, under the leadership of Lesther Calipjo, a dedicated group of individuals began meeting regularly with a shared dream: to build the Kauai Philippine Cultural Center, a vision they called Vision 2020. Over the next ten years, board members and officers put in countless hours raising funds and securing the land needed for this project. With support from the state and local government, businesses, Filipino organizations, and generous individuals, enough money was raised to start construction in 2017. By February 2020, Vision 2020 became a reality.
The center’s first full year of operation began under the challenging circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, we remain committed to our motto, “A Place for All.” We warmly invite the community to use the facility for events, programs, cultural activities, meetings, and much more!
